Branch Officials Course
It is essential that all Union Branch Officials be fully trained in their duties. This not only allows the smooth running of the Branches and gives added expertise to the senior lay officials in each Branch, but also ensures that all member’s claims and concerns are dealt with promptly and with skill.
A five-day residential programme covers:
Branch administration
Union structure
Legal issues
Employment law
This popular, accredited course is constantly updated and is an important factor in the Union’s education programme.
The course for 2010 is running from the 26th to the 30th of April at Northern College, Barnsley. To download a Course Application Form, click here. This should be completed and returned to Head Office.
If you are interested in participating in future courses email info@bfawu.org with your details and a request to be considered for future Branch Officials Courses.

We are also running a half-day course for activists to enable them to have access to the Union's membership database. If you wish to be considered for inclusion, or just want to find out some more information, contact your Regional Office or Head Office, or email webdata@bfawu.org.
