Statement on the creation of a new political party.

When we walked out of Labour, we didn’t do it lightly. We did it because we could no longer justify asking working people to vote for a party that no longer stood for them.

We’ve been organising the new working class from fast food to factories, from warehouses to Wetherspoons. We’ve led the fight for better pay, permanent contracts, protection from harassment, and the right to a decent life.

Now we see the stirrings of a new political force. A party that could speak in our voice, fight our fights, and deliver not just change but justice.

But it must be built the right way.
• Not by coronation, but through collective decision-making.
• Not by repeating the same old mistakes, but by putting workers—especially young, migrant, and precarious workers—at the center.
• Not just on leaflets, but on the leadership team.

Our record speaks for itself. McStrikes. SpoonStrikes. Foodbank solidarity. Standing with survivors of workplace abuse. Defending the right to protest. Building a union with dignity, democracy, and fight.

If the new party can learn anything from our journey, it’s this, trust the workers.

We’re not here to follow. We’re here to lead
